  • Manju Vyas, CEO

    Manju Vyas joined AAWC in October 1998 and has served as Director since April 1999. Previously, she was a Public Relations Officer at a multi-national company and managed her family’s advertising business. Manju received her Master of Science degree in Botany from Holkar Science College, where she was an activist for the rights of women and girls in India.

  • Namita Khatu, Program Director

    Namita Khatu joined AAWC as a Program Manager in January 2012 and has managed the Kamathipura centre as Program Director since January 2013. Previously, she was a Staff Coordinator at SMILE. Namita received her Master of Social Work from SNDT Women’s University and her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Mumbai University.

  • Shikha Kashyap, Program Manager

    Shikha Kashyap has been a Program Manager for Udaan since June 2014. She received her Masters in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work, her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (honors) from St. Xavier's College, and a certification in human rights from Nirmala Niketan.

  • Krushna Dharia, Program Manager

    Krushna Dharia joined AAWC as the Program Manager for Umeed and Umang at Falkland Road Centre in September 2015. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work and her B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Jai Hind College, Mumbai.

  • Chandni Patel, Fundraising and Communications Manager

    Chandni Patel joined AAWC as the Fundraising and Communications Manager in February 2015. She received her Bachelor in Mass Media with a major in Journalism from Sophia College for Women.

  • Shweta Sinha, Counseling Psychologist

    Shweta Sinha joined AAWC as counseling psychologist in July 2015. She previously worked as a lecturer at Moolji Jeitha College and has more than 5 years of experience in the field. She holds a Masters degree in Psychology, PG Diploma in counseling psychology from Xavier's Institute of Counseling Psychology and a Diploma in Applied Psychology from North Maharashtra University.

  • Poonam Awasthi, Field Director

    Poonam Awasthi has been the Field Director at the Kamathipura centre since May 2011. Previously, she was an outreach worker and counselor for Rashtra Swasth Prabodhini, an NGO focused on leprosy and HIV/AIDS. Poonam holds a Higher School Certificate from Lucknow University and a Paraprofessional Certificate in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work.

  • Sadique Kalyankar, Chief Accountant

    Sadique Kalyankar joined AAWC as the Chief Accountant in January 2016 and has over 15 years of accounting experience. Sadique received his Bachelors in Commerce from Mumbai University and has also completed a Hospital Administration course conducted by Quality Council of India (QCI) and Forum for Enhancement of Quality in Healthcare (FEQH).

  • Paru Dhanawade, Umang Balwadi Teacher

    Paru Dhanawade joined the Falkland Road centre as a Balwadi (kindergarten) Teacher for the Umang program in June 2009 and transferred to the Kamathipura centre when it opened in March 2011. She holds a Higher School Certificate from Open University and a Paraprofessional Certificate in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work. Paru is also specifically trained to teach the children of the Umang program with a certification from the Muktangan Rehabilitation Center.
